Vengeance — Psylocke’s Katana from Marvel Rivals

Blade

The blade is made from 9260 spring steel and fully heat-treated for overall strength and durability.

The blade pattern is created using an electroplated finish, designed to reproduce the distinctive visual effect seen on the sword in the game.

Handle

This katana uses a full-tang construction

Saya & Exterior Finish

The saya and exterior decoration were built up in multiple stages.

We first applied a purple base coat, then recreated the layered surface design using thick UV-printed decals.

After preparing the 2D artwork, more than 100 individual decal pieces were cut by hand and carefully applied one by one to build up the raised visual effect.

Once all of the pieces were in place, the exterior colors and details were finished by hand painting to bring the overall look closer to the in-game design.

Production Time

The blade and saya took approximately 2 months to complete.

The decorative artwork and finishing on the saya required an additional 6 weeks of handwork.
