This knife's blade is made from SAE-AISI 5160 steel, a high-carbon spring steel alloy containing approximately 0.56-0.64% carbon and 0.7-0.9% chromium, which provides toughness, impact resistance, and ductility. This knife's blade undergoes a vacuum through-hardened heat treatment process by heating the material in a controlled vacuum environment to temperatures around 820°C to prevent oxidation and ensure uniform hardening. This is followed by quenching with inert gas at pressures of 2–20 bar and tempering stages to achieve the desired hardness and structural integrity.
This knife's blade has a vacuum titanium coating applied via physical vapor deposition (PVD), where titanium is vaporized in a vacuum chamber and deposited as a thin film on the blade surface, forming a hard, corrosion-resistant layer that bonds at the atomic level to enhance resistance to wear and environmental damage.
