Satori — Cyberpunk 2077 Inspired Katana

One of the most striking katanas from Cyberpunk 2077 — Satori, recreated as a full-scale 1:1 piece.

Faithfully Recreated from the In-Game Model

For this project, we studied the original 3D model from the game and rebuilt it from the ground up as a highly detailed production model.

Every fitting and proportion was carefully refined to stay as close as possible to the design seen in Cyberpunk 2077.

The complete set of fittings was first produced through high-resolution 3D printing, then recreated in solid brass using the lost-wax casting process.

After casting, each component is individually refined, polished, and finished with a baked coating to reproduce the distinctive colors and appearance of the original in-game design.

Blade

The blade is forged from T10 (1095) high-carbon steel.

It is traditionally clay-tempered using differential heat treatment, producing a genuine hamon formed during the hardening process rather than an etched or printed pattern.

For the hamon, we worked to recreate the broad, flowing wave pattern visible on Satori’s blade in the game. Our interpretation uses a relatively open and dramatic Gunome (互の目) pattern to capture that distinctive appearance.

Custom Saya

As far as we know, Satori does not have a clearly defined matching saya in the original game design.

Rather than pairing the sword with a generic scabbard, we designed a custom saya specifically for this piece, drawing inspiration from the shapes, colors, materials, and overall visual language of Satori itself.

Our goal was to create a saya that feels as though it could naturally belong to the original design.

More Than One Year in the Making

This project originally began as a private commission from one of our customers.

Without that commission, this version of Satori would not exist.

From the first concept to the final version shown here, the design went through five major iterations and more than one year of development.

During that process, we repeatedly refined the 3D modeling, proportions, fittings, manufacturing methods, surface finishing, blade details, and overall construction.

What you see here is the result of that process.

Made to Order

Satori is currently offered as an individually made-to-order piece.

Because of the complexity involved in the brass fittings, lost-wax casting, finishing, blade work, clay tempering, assembly, and final adjustment, the estimated production time is approximately 4 months.

Each piece is made individually, so production time may vary slightly depending on our current workshop schedule.
